About this Dog
Hi, I'm Sigmund, but you can call me Siggy! I'm a Wire Hair Pointing Griffon, 1-2 years old, and I weigh around 55 pounds. I'm just a big furry ball of love, and I'm here to find my forever home. At home, I'm a sweetheart with not a mean bone in my body. I get along with all dogs, and I absolutely adore people. I love curling up on a dog bed and being close to my humans. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and good on a leash, though I'm still getting the hang of it. I rarely bark, so you can count on me to be a quiet companion. One of my favorite things is water! I'd love to visit lakes often and splash around. It's obvious that I never lived in a home before, so everything is still new to me. Sudden noises can startle me, but I'm adjusting quickly. I know the "come" command, and I'm very friendly with people. I do have a prey drive and will point at prey, so I shouldn’t be in a home with chickens or ducks. I can sometimes give gentle nibbles, which might be alarming to children so if there are children in my forever home it is preferred they be older dog savvy kids until I am trained. I don’t need to be placed in a home with another dog as long as my humans are home most of the time. Even though I'm a hunting breed, I don't have the traits of a hunting dog. I have no fetch instinct and tend to startle at loud noises, so I won't be your hunting partner. I have a heart of gold and just want to be loved and give love in return. If you're looking for a friendly, gentle, and loving companion who enjoys the water and cozy snuggles, I'm your guy! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Sigmund and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sigmund's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sigmund's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sigmund, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sigmund's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sigmund was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sigmund’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sigmund’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sigmund’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
