About this Horse
Stoney came to Longmeadow in May of 2024. Her sleek, slender build and cute facial markings had the attention of staff and volunteers as soon as she entered the barn. We couldnât wait for her time in quarantine to end so we could evaluate her and see what this mare had in store for us. However, upon her first vet exam, we found she had a progressive dental condition called EOTRH, resulting in the removal of all her incisors. Stoney was a champ through the procedure and a great patient for our staff during the following weeks. She stood calmly as they flushed her mouth and packed her gums during her recovery. After weeks of healing, she was finally able to be evaluated by our trainer!Upon evaluation, our trainer found that Stoney was trained under saddle in the past. She neck reined and was comfortable with a rider on her back. After a couple evaluations, our trainer found that Stoney was more on the forward side and was not a kick ride. She had a tendency to be impatient and was not a fan of halting under saddle. Due to these habits under saddle, our trainers believe Stoney should go to an intermediate rider who is comfortable with correcting her pushiness. Stoney is a beautiful, silly girl. Because of her teeth (or lack thereof), she constantly has her tongue sticking out, an endearing trait for the mare. She is always sticking her head out of her stall to greet visitors and easy to catch in the field. Stoney is still working on her ground manners but has been a joy to have at the Ranch since she arrived. We canât wait to see where this mare ends up!Adoption Fee: $500Height: 15.1hhMaximum Carrying Weight (includes tack and rider): 200lbs

Adopt STONEY and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, STONEY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is STONEY's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the STONEY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming STONEY's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and STONEY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, STONEY’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the STONEY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, STONEY’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
