About this Dog
Fergie is a spayed female Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix rescued in Alabama. She is simply beautiful! Although only 3 years old, Fergie is an old soul who loves to sit on her porch and watch people go by! She is sweet and lovable. Fergie is looking for an older soul to share her life in a quiet, low stress, small household without children as large, busy households freak her out. Fergie is potty trained. She is motivated by treats and picks up commands quickly. Fergie does well with dogs outside and would be okay with a male laid back dog her size (no small dogs). Fergie is very committed to her routine and needs slow introductions to visitors. She is leash trained and does well in the car (though she isn't a fan of the vet!). Fergie's prior family used her crate as punishment, so no crates for this girl. She is non-destructive and doesn't bark when left alone. Her favorite things in life are to cuddle and look out the window. Most of the time Fergie just wants to be wherever her person is. Fergie would do okay in the outer boroughs, but NYC would likely be too much for Fergie to handle as she never met an elevator she liked! Fergie is super-smart and would do best with a strong person to be her alpha. Fergie has had a rough start in life and needs a patient person who can give her time to decompress and help her learn to trust people again. She just wants to be loved. If you can give Fergie the quiet, happy life she is looking for, please apply online to adopt Fergie at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

Adopt Fergie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Fergie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Fergie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Fergie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Fergie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Fergie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Fergie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Fergie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Fergie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
