About this Dog
Shelly, a beautiful Pittie, was rescued from Manhattan ACC where she had been brought in as a stray, with broken teeth and was emaciated at only 24 pounds!! She is thought to have been born in 2015. Her foster mom has been taking such good care of her and despite her obvious neglect, Shelly remains a very sweet and loving girl, she is super smart and would do well in a suburban home with a fenced yard and an active family who can devote time to her and to make sure she gets enough of her favorite activity. . . chasing tennis balls! She is great with kids and people of all ages. She does not do well with cats, and slow introductions are required if there are other dogs in the home.Shelly is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, housebroken, crate trained and knows basic commands. Please apply online if you are interested in adopting Shelly: http://www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.

Adopt Shelly and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shelly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Shelly's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Shelly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shelly's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shelly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shelly’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Shelly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shelly’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
