About this Dog
This adorable, squishy, smooshy, precious face belongs to Lewis! Lewis is one of the newest rescue kids on the Pal's Place block, and this derpy boy is just as sweet as he looks! Pal's Place rescued him from an open-intake animal control facility in Kentucky. Unfortunately, he was brought in as a stray and was never claimed. His history and ancestry are unknown, but he is estimated to be approximately five years of age and weighs 60 pounds. His appearance and characteristics suggest some hound breeds, possibly Rottie and/or Boxer or Bullmastiff in his family tree. Still, without a DNA test, we cannot say what breeds make up this uniquely handsome fella. Lewis is enjoying the comforts and kindness of a foster home in Chicago while waiting to meet his forever family. He is a friendly, easy-going, and adaptable guy who fits in easily in most homes. Lewis loves people new people and has been fantastic with the other dogs in his foster home. His interests include long walks, Nylabones, Kongs, soft blankets, cushy beds, couch cuddles, and affection. Lewis is playful and engaging and has brief moments of excitability, but overall, his energy is a more mellow, gentle vibe. He's well-behaved in the home, crate trained, and housebroken, but he does not appear to know any commands, so his adoptive guardians should be prepared to help him learn the basics. Lewis is ready and eager to meet you. Please submit your application today! Lewis is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and taking monthly flea/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Lewis is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved. For more info or an application, please email [email protected] or visit palsplacerescue.org. Unfortunately, we cannot place holds on our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an adoption application unless you are ready to meet and welcome a dog into your home within three days of applying. Adoption applications and correspondence from the rescue may end up in your spam or junk folder. Adopt Lewis and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lewis's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Lewis's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Lewis, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lewis's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lewis was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lewis’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Lewis’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lewis’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
