About this Dog
PETE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Pete Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Terrier Mix Best Guess for Age: 11 weeks as of 7/16 SEX: Male Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 11lbs as of 7/16 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Pete is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Pete! Me and my sister, Penelope, have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Pete is enjoying his stay with his two housemates Kona and Gwen. He likes the puzzle games that dispense treats. He has learned sit, lay down, and stay. His favorite snacks are blueberries, carrots, yogurt lids. When he isn’t rough housing with his pals, he is taking a well deserved nap. Pete is definitely a shadow and will follow you anywhere. He likes to sleep in until sunrise when he gets to go outside and sniff around before breakfast. His favorite sleeping spot is right on your neck. Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. Adopt Pete and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pete's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Pete's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Pete, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pete's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pete was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pete’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Pete’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pete’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
