About this Dog
After she was given a 72 hour deadline, Asha (formerly Shoshana) was pulled from an Orange County Florida shelter just hours before she would have been euthanized. Local volunteers and a medical foster stepped up to save her life. She was found with a harness embedded in her front leg, which is healing very nicely, and is currently heartworm positive and going through treatment. Slow introductions with new people and new dogs is a must. But once she warms up to you, she will be your new best friend. She is highly motivated by food, toys, and affection. She has not been tested in or with water yet, as we are still waiting for the wound to heal all the way. She is very cuddly and sweet and always wants to be with her person. Because of this, she is currently showing some separation anxiety, something that is actively being worked on. She is not a fan of crates, but left unattended is not destructive. She is pretty high energy with no clear off switch until she is tuckered out. She has not been tested with kids or cats yet. All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.
