Introducing Greta! Greta is a Labrador/Pyrenees mix who is around 3 years old. Greta is a big girl weighing in just shy of 80 pounds, but don't let her size fool you because she is the biggest love bug and cuddler you will meet! Greta really enjoys playing with other large dogs and we would love to place her with a confident and playful companion that she can grow and learn from! However, she does not seem to enjoy the company of smaller dogs. Greta also enjoys spending time and getting attention from her care takers, so be prepared to have a couch companion of your own! Greta has been cat tested and is rather timid of feline friends so a dog savvy cat or no cats would be best for her. Greta is still learning about the wide world around her, but she is an eager "student" and happy to learn! If you would like to meet Greta and think she would made a great addition to your home, be sure to fill out an adoption application on our website, adopthope.org. Greta's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, and current vaccinations and prevention. Also included is a free basic obedience training course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals be kept as indoor only pets and that adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Greta's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Greta was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Greta’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Greta’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund.
