About this Dog
Courtesy post Homer is a lovable, snuggly 7-year-old pit with plenty of energy. Homer weighs 56 pounds and knows basic commands like sit, lay down, stay, come, and shake. He enjoys leashed walks and loves cuddling on the couch or bed with his humans. Homer is affectionate, enjoys giving kisses, and loves ear scratches, belly rubs, and playing with toys (indestructible toys recommended!). He is up to date on his shots and neutered. We can provide a dog bed, food, bowls, leash, and more for his new home. Homer would thrive as the only pet in a household. He can walk past other dogs on the street, but he prefers not to share his home with them. While he might be fine with a cat that keeps to itself, he is best suited for a home without children due to his resource guarding tendencies. A potential adopter should be knowledgeable about or willing to learn about managing resource guarding. Homer is a sweet dog 90% of the time and just needs an environment that minimizes his triggers, allowing him to thrive. He has received training through K9 Koncepts, which offers lifetime support. We can potentially transfer this training to the adopter at no cost, pending confirmation with K9 Koncepts. Contact Erica at [email protected] Disclaimer*** Unfortunately, there are not enough rooms at the inn to admit every dog that needs a furever home. But, we still want to help those dogs (and cats) on their journey! By courtesy posting, AAHA is offering our website/network as an additional resource to help an owner or shelter gain additional exposure for the dog they are trying to place. AAHA has not met nor evaluated the dog (or cat) we are courtesy posting. AAHA makes no representation about courtesy posted pets including the health and temperament and accepts no liability in this exchange. Arrangements for adoptions are made between the caretaker of the pet and the potential adopter.

Adopt Homer and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Homer's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Homer's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Homer, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Homer's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Homer was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Homer’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Homer’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Homer’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
