About this Dog
Animal Profile: Julie is an estimated 10-12 month old female red Doberman mix (likely with lab or pointer). She has a sturdy build and is approximately 65 lbs. She is super social and friendly with people including kids and gets along well with the large dogs in her foster home, both male and female. She has a playful and submissive personality with other dogs. She has not been evaluated with cats. She has learned crate and potty training quickly in foster care. Foster Update: Julie is such a sweet snuggle bun! She's doing great with basic commands in a controlled environment, but still working on applying those in the real world. She is great on leash but still needs work on staying calm when there are fun distractions. She’s a little too interested in cats, so she will do best in a feline-free household. Her favorite things are napping on the couch, snuggling in bed, chasing her squeaky toys around the yard, and making new dog friends. Julie has excellent crate manners, is friendly with dogs and people, and does amazing with kids. She is going to make an exceptional companion to one lucky family! Adoption Info: Julie's adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Julie was found as a stray with no collar and no chip on the Wapato Reservation and reported to Yakima Humane on June 27. Neighbors were reportedly threatening to shoot her. Yakima Humane was full and she was taken to Dog Gone Seattle foster care arriving July 5. She will be available for adoption after a 30 day hold, on July 27.
