About this Dog
Hi! My name is Nala and I’m about 4 months old. I had a ruff start in life and was found as a stray. When I came into the rescue, I was a bit of a mess. I was not feeling very well, my skin was so itchy and my tail was docked… I know, weird right!? My foster parents have taught me that not all humans are bad and with lots of love and some medicine, I’m a happy girl now. I have two big fur brothers and one fur sister that I love to play with and mom says I’m the boss of them. I’m still nervous at first when I meet people but I usually warm up pretty quick, especially with kids. I bark at new dogs too but it’s only because I’m still nervous and learning my manners. I am crate trained and almost 98% potty trained too! I started going to the front door when I have to go potty and my foster dad keeps telling me what a good girl I am. I like to cuddle on the couch and be near my humans and sometimes trip my foster mom because I’m under her feet a lot but I also have an independent streak and like to explore and play. Chasing bugs and frogs is awesome! I also love to play ball with my foster mom and chew on basically anything left on the floor but I don’t think I’m supposed to chew on sneakers cuz I keep getting in trouble for that. I am not a fan of car rides, they still scare me a little bit but I tend to be ok if I’m in a lap or right next to someone. I’m foodie and dad calls me a “fat little girl” because I love food so much. I was like a piranha at first because I wasn’t used to scheduled feedings, but I’m getting better. My foster parents say I’m spunky and fearless and love how cute and lovable I am. They think I would make the right family extremely lucky. If you are interested in adopting me, I’m being fostered in Chesapeake, VA.
