About this Cat
Meet Puma: The Sweet and Gentle Girl Seeking a Cozy Home - Puma has recently been diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. We are seeking a hospice home for her with no adoption fee to allow her to live out the rest of her days comfortably and loved. - Gentle & Chatty: Puma is a lovely, reserved cat who is as sweet as she is vocal. She has a charming repertoire of chrrps and brrps and enjoys chatting and saying hello. While calm and content with her own space, Puma loves to interact and will greet you with her delightful meows. - Affectionate: Puma adores ear, chin, and neck scritches. She’ll rub her head on your toes and boots, and loves gentle head bumps and kisses. While she doesn’t like being held for long or having her belly and legs touched, she’ll tolerate gentle brushing in these spots once she trusts you. Behavior & Habits: - Social with Guests: Puma is welcoming and affectionate with visitors. She’ll accept ear scritches from anyone and is known to visit overnight guests in bed for cuddles. - Lap Time & Bedtime: Puma doesn’t sit on laps but will walk across you to get attention. She enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed on a blanket and is a polite bedmate. She might get vocal in the morning when it's breakfast time. - Playful & Active: Puma has little bursts of playful energy and enjoys playing with rope toys, fishing rods, and catnip-filled toys. She also gets playful at night, moving her toys around as she pleases. Health & Care: - Chronic Kidney Failure: Puma is currently managing chronic kidney failure and is on a special renal diet. She eats wet food 2-3 times a day and has dry food available for grazing. She loves Temptations treats and enjoys a small amount of dry food throughout the day. - Litter Box & Scratching: Puma uses her litter box reliably and shows no interest in scratching furniture or scratching posts. She has a history of gentle behavior and no aggression, except for occasional vet-related stress. Quirks & Special Traits: - Unique Behavior: Puma has some adorable quirks, such as making biscuits on the floor while drinking from her water bowl. She also loves to "suckle" blankets and make tiny biscuits, standing with her paws turned out in a cute little ballet stance. Why Adopt Puma? Puma is a gentle, low-maintenance companion who would thrive in a relaxed home where she can enjoy her naps and occasional playtime. She’s perfect for someone looking for a sweet, chatty cat who will bring warmth and companionship to your life.

Adopt Puma and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Puma's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Puma's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Puma, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Puma's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Puma was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Puma’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Puma’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Puma’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
