About this Dog
EVIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Evie Best Guess for Breed: Lab and greyhound mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of June 2024 Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 40 lbs Gets Along With: Evie currently lives with another dog. We haven't seen her with kids or cats but she can be tested Currently Living At: DC area boarding partner (She needs a foster to stay with until she finds her forever home!) Special Adoption Considerations: Evie is heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs. All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care. After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months. We are happy to discuss this treatment and which phase of the study this Lucky Dog is in right now! Just email the adoption coordinator - the address is at lower left! Evie is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet mama did an amazing job of raising her five babies (Everest, Emmett, Ernie, Eloise, Elena) to be great family pets and they're off to their own homes. Evie is now seeking her own humans to lavish all that love and affectuion upon - and receive the same. She's also eager for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures her new humans can dream up. Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed would be awesome too, but what she wants most of all to be safe and loved and under her own roof. She's got so much to offer - adoring gazes and happy tail wags and all that awesome sweet dog-ness that will always make you smile and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is she the one you have been looking for? What My Foster Says About Me: Evie is a sweetheart. Since she has been home with us she has been developing into her own little Queen that she is. She loves to play with my dog and at the park she is still coming into her own. She and my dog play tug of war or steal away (from each other!). She does good on walks but still needs some work on leash walking and she does get along with other dogs. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. Adopt Evie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Evie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Evie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Evie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Evie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Evie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Evie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Evie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Evie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
