About this Dog
Rommy is a very sweet dachshund that has a typical dachshund issue. He weighs too much. He’s currently on a diet plan that is working, but he will need some help to continue his journey on getting to a healthier weight. Rommy is around 9 years old, otherwise healthy, and loves nothing more than being close to you. He is a true velcro dog that will follow you from room to room, attend all your family meetings, and if you have steps up to your sofa or bed, he would love to join you! We’re currently working on house training and the dog door with him. While we’ve made some progress, he’s a short guy, and the struggle to get through the dog door is real, so he’d prefer that you open the door for him to preserve his dignity. If you love lap dogs and want a dachshund that does “uppies” Rommy would love to meet you! Rommy's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha. Last Hope requires all animals be kept as indoor pets only, and adopters have a history of keeping pets altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check, background check, and a home visit. Please submit an adoption application for considerations through our website, www.adopthope.org

Adopt Rommy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rommy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Rommy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Rommy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rommy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rommy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rommy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."

We want the Rommy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rommy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
