About this Cat
Looking for a kitty who is full of spunk and personality? Look no further because Rocco is your man! This chunky monkey was picked up by Animal Control as a stray and we pulled him into our rescue shortly thereafter when his time was up. The poor guy was sick with a really bad cold, parasites and a horrible skin infection, but we treated him with meds, good food and lots of TLC and within a few weeks, he made a full recovery. Rocco was adopted out to a nice family a while back, but sadly they had to return him as he was nippy towards their child and a bit of a bully towards their other cat. You see, Rocco is an independent guy and has a strong personality, meaning that he wants to do what he wants to do and doesn't quite understand social boundaries. He's not aggressive in the typical sense, but he does get overstimulated and will nip/swat when being corrected or gets frusrtrated. As a result, he doesn't show very well at adoption events and he's been with me for quite some time. I've been working with him to correct this behavior through positive reinforcement techniques, and he's responded quite well and has chilled out over the past couple of years. However, potential adopters will need to have experience in dealing with cats like Rocco and must be willing to apply the behavior modification techniques with him. He's generally pretty good with the other cats at my house, but he can be a bit obnoxious towards other cats who are very submissive and easily dominated. He would do best with a confident kitty who won't mind putting Rocco in his place when he needs it (he will back down when corrected). Absolutely no kids - he would not be a good fit with them. With all that being said, Rocco really is a cool and sweet cat when he wants to be; he's just quirky and can be a bit of a jerk sometimes if you let him. He's usually a lovebug with me and is seeks attention often, but I also understand his boundaries and respect them. With the proper guidance and home environment, he will thrive and can be quite the goofy attention hog and will entertain you with his silly antics.Rocco is neutered, microchipped, negative for FeLV/FIV and current on vaccinations; DOB 6/12/18 (tag # 11292JB).

Adopt Rocco and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rocco's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Rocco's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Rocco, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rocco's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocco’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Rocco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocco’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
