About this Dog
My name is Cordelia (my foster mom calls me Willow) and I made the very long journey from Afghanistan to Minnesota and am SO happy to be here! I am a loving lab mix gal (born 5/15/23) who loves to be around people. I picked up walking on a leash quickly with the help of the resident dog. He and I are pals now even though it took a few days to warm up to him. I sleep in my crate at night in my foster mom's bedroom; as long as I can see her, I settle down quickly and sleep all night. I only had one accident the first night I landed in MN, but have been totally potty trained since. Since my foster mom is home on summer break, I am only in my crate a few hours at a time, but I should do ok while my future pawrent is at work. Shoes and other household items are fun to run around the house with, but I am learning to play with only my dog toys. I will need patience and training with my new family. Foster mom here: Cordelia (Willow) is a beautiful, lovely, smart girl who is extremely curious about everything. She loves being outside and would do well in a home with a fenced in yard. She likes walks but probably wouldn't be a good running partner with all the stopping she likes to do to smell, look, and experience new things outside. She cowers when she meets kids (I imagine there is some history there) so would do best with slow introductions of children or a home without kids. She hasn't been around cats but loves meeting other dogs. She is easy to correct with a firm "NO" and looks to me for direction when she encounters something new (kids, dogs, a turtle crossing the road etc). She is a gem and will be easily trainable with consistency, patience, and love. Cordelia and I worked with a professional trainer and that trainer has offered her new family a greatly reduced 90 minute refresher session. Great opportunity to bond and get started on the right paw! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00

Adopt Cordelia and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cordelia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Cordelia's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Cordelia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Cordelia's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cordelia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cordelia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Cordelia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cordelia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
