About this Dog
Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application! Pet Description: Nona is a 1 1/2 year old female and whikle she looks like a Terrier mix, we were told she is a Lab/Pekingese/Dachshund mix. No one was asking about her when we had her breed mix showing as Lab/Dachshund, so why trying listing her as a Terrier mix. She weighs 20 lbs, came to us with many other dogs. Seems very sweet but is a bit more reserved; great with other dogs, has not been around children. As of 9-11-24 she is not in the Shelter but out in a foster home so she can take a break from us and see how she does in a home with other dogs & cats. From her foster mom: Nona has been in foster care just to see if she has any issues that need to be addressed and, other than learning not to jump up on people (we are working on that and making progress), she is doing quite well. So basically she is a young, moderately active, sweet as pie little pup who will make a wonderful companion pet for some lucky folks. I think she is housebroken, although as usual with my fosters, she is not allowed complete freedom in the house. She is fine with my 2 dogs. She is not interested in the cats. She sleeps in a crate just a few feet from my bed and is quiet all night long. She is learning to walk on a leash. She bonds very quickly with people and loves attention, wants to be sociable. If you are looking for a small to medium dog to join your family, please contact the shelter and meet Nona. DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).
