About this Cat
Sammie is 3yo, weighs 13 lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped. He is accustomed to being alone in the home, where he has free roam, 1-6hrs/day; he sleeps in or under his guardian's bed at night. He dislikes/fears unexpected loud noises, which makes him jump/nervous. He is fine in his crate during car rides. Sammie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "We are unexpectedly moving abroad and unable to take him with us." Sammie's guardian states the following regarding children: Sammie lives with children, ages 6 & 9, so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Sammie lives with children and is not a threat at all. He just hasn't bonded too much with them and is a bit shy. He would do well in a house with or without children". Sammie's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Although Sammie lives with a dog, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "Sammie is fine with other dogs; however, I think with his shy nature he would do better in a home with no dogs". Sammie's guardian states the following regarding cats: Since Sammie hasn't lived with cats, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats, stating "Sammie does not seem friendly with other cats. We have had 1 occasion where he was around another cat and he was not happy". Sammie's guardian describes him as: Couch potato Quiet Shy Sammie's guardian describes his ideal future home: "I think ideally Sammie would do well in a quieter house. This would allow him to bond with an adult. That being said, we have 2 children and always are in and out so he is accustomed to that. Sammie "hangs out" with us outside, he never runs away and comes back inside when we return as well." Rehoming Fee: None Location: Catonsville, MD
