About this Dog
Say hello to Patch, the spirited Jack Russell Terrier mix with a unique black eye patch over his left eye. At 11 pounds and around 3 years old, Patch is the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet affection. House trained and non-destructive, Patch can be left free range inside when no one is home because he is not destructive, he won’t chew on your furniture or shoes, and you might even find him napping on a cozy pile of laundry. Patch is great with other dogs, including seniors, he just doesn't like dogs that are in his face, and he loves kids. Patch walks well on a leash and loves to go on walks, and making the most of his tiny legs. He’s got a bit of a playful streak too—he enjoys chasing his own tail and running around in circles, providing endless entertainment! This smart boy is a little independent in his training, knowing the command "no," his love for treats makes him eager to listen when there's a snack involved. Patch is confident around larger dogs, including his 100+ pound buddy, and fits in well with playful young dogs his size or larger. Patch sleeps through the night, rides well in a car, and is not a big barker. If you're looking for a fun, quirky companion who loves a good romp as much as a nap, Patch is ready to be your new best friend! If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, have JRT experience, and believe you have the perfect family for Patch, please complete an app and tell us more about you. Patch's medical history: Patch came to our rescue from Georgia, where he was found as a stray under a car. After some investigation, it was determined that he had been shot around 2 years prior with bird shot and has BB pellets throughout his small body, and also had a fractured back leg that had healed on its own, leaving him with a slight limp. He is also heartworm positive and is being treated with the slow-kill method, which allows him normal activity until he tests negative. Heartworm disease is not transferable to other dogs or people. Patch was found to have high liver levels when we had his blood tested, which could be caused by the heartworms. After an ultrasound and other testing, nothing major was found to be causing the high liver level and no masses were found. He takes one prescription for his liver. He has had dental surgery with extractions with our rescue.

Adopt Patch and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Patch's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Patch's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Patch, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Patch's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Patch was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Patch’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Patch’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Patch’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
