About this Dog
Hannah was at Lousiana shelter most of her young life. She is now 4 years old and around 45 lbs. It has taken us this long to get her to the point where she is adoptable. The shelter left her in a kennel 24/7. When she was removed from the kennel for cleaning, they put her on a catchpole with slip loop around her neck and dragged her from place to place. It took us this long to get her to trust us, accept a collar and leash. She is very unsocialized and although she will eventually come to love and trust her adopter, she will run from strangers until she gets to know them .HANNAH was rescued from Louisiana. Hannah is a very loveable and sweet girl. It took us over a year to make her a house dog. She preferred to stay in our kennel area or outside. She is still a work in progress, however she has grown into a confident homebody that love to sit in her fosters chair. She would probably do best in a home without another dog. She loves to pester dogs, she never learned how to play with other dogs as a puppy. With dogs that are older or smaller she can show an alpha side. However she has zero aggression in her.She is well behaved in the house.. She probably won't come to you at first, but treats are the way to her heart. She is calm and once she trusts you she wants to just be by your side. She is okay in the car, however she is not a dog that would want to visit new places, and she won't walk on a leash unless she has to, such as going to vet etc. She did go to daycare and the staff there said she did great, getting her inside was not the easiest as she had to walk through a large parking lot, through many cars that were parked or moving. She is not a city dog and a quiet life is best for her. Hannah is available under our Foster to Adopt Program. A secure fenced in back yard is needed, and someone who is home more and has the time to give her the love and companionship she never had. Children should be over the age of 8 years old. She never goes in a crate, and she does not need one. She can free roam when your not home. She does not chew, and is housebroken. We will only consider applications within 50 miles of Grovertown, Indiana so we can assist the adopter with her transition and bring her to your home for a visit. Her adoption fee is $100. Hannah is spayed/ vaccinated and microchipped. For more information on our Foster to Adopt Program go to this link https://indianasaveadog.com/foster-to-adopt
