About this Dog
THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG. Please contact [email protected] for more information or to adopt.Hi there, I am the wonderful Willow and here's some information about me:Age: 1.5-2 years (approx.)Breed: German ShepherdWeight: 65 lbsHeight: 22 inchesGender: FemaleI am a young, intelligent, energetic, beautiful German Shepherd located in Vancouver, BC. My rescuers found me as a stray in November 2023, whereafter I spent a few months at a local animal shelter. This was however not the ideal environment for me. As a large working breed dog, I didn't get the stimulation I need to do what I was bred to do and thrive. As a result, I developed some reactive tendencies. During this difficult time, the shelter wanted to euthanize me without any efforts to help me overcome these challenges. Fortunately, I narrowly escaped that (phew!) due to some amazing people that stepped up to help me.Believing that I deserved a chance at life, my new foster parents decided to do what they could to help me overcome my behavioural challenges. They enrolled me in a board and train program at Argo's Pet Ranch in Surrey, BC and I have made tremendous progress since then. I am a quick learner and now I know that I don't need to fear strangers (both dogs or people). After this wonderful turnaround and a new lease on life, my trainers now think that I am ready for my forever home. They have come to experience me as consistently loving and an excellent companion for the right owners. Here's a list of my favourite things: long walks, playing fetch, going to the beach, cuddling up on the couch, ear scratches and belly rubs. I have lots of energy, so I would love a family that is active and has experience with German Shepherds or similar breeds. A home with a fenced-in backyard where I can spend my time exploring, running, sniffing and just generally being a dog, will be great! A home without any other pets or children will be best for me.I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. A small adoption fee of $100 is requested and will be donated to a local organization that helps animals.THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW.
