About this Dog
Rainbow. Sparkle. Princess. These are the words that come to mind to describe little miss Twinkie! She is the type of Pocket Pyr girl who just will be your sweet baby forever. Twinkie will likely stay small - perfect for adopters who love all the endearing traits of a pyrenees, but perhaps prefer a slightly smaller package. Twinkie was pulled from a shelter in Tennessee and is now spending her summer in boarding, awaiting her new pyrents to find her and bring her home! She loves to romp and play in the yard with other dogs, and has yet to meet a human, dog, or cat she doesn't like. Described as “happy go lucky” and “sweet as can be,” Twinkie is a favorite at the boarding facility - we couldn't have dreamed up a better pup if we tried! Friendly and confident, Twinkie is hopeful for a home where she can get out all of her zoomies, lots of 'lovins' from her people, and spend the rest of her days in ease and happiness. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. We may consider fostering for some of our dogs who are in boarding.
