About this Dog
Meet Katy! Katy is the oldest of the “baker’s dozen” puppies rescued from a very bad situation in Southern Oregon. Katy came into rescue with a significant limp and required TPLO surgery. With the efforts of Katy’s foster family and an amazing community donor, Katy has had her surgery and is ready for her forever home! Her follow up appointment was August 8 and we although she is cleared for normal activities, her foster mom is taking it slow. Katy is a sweet soul who just wants to be with her “pack.” Katy’s foster says she “loves everyone and just wants to be loved.” She would benefit from a home with children over 6 and with family members who are at home more than they are away. She would love to laze on the sofa and sleep in the bed and she will happily sit on your lap for as long as you like! Katy is young and full of life and would love to be part of yours! Katy is being fostered in Florence OR and can be adopted within OR-WA. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) These puppies can be livestock dogs to farms and homesteads experienced in training LGDs. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day. 4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience. 5) Secure and visible fencing required. 6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Adopt Katy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Katy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Katy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Katy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Katy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Katy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Katy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Katy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Katy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
