SD09/07/23 08:31SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:Today I: Met a new friend and took a long hike! I saw bikes and people and squirrels! On the trail I loved sniffing all the great smells. I like to check in with my friends when we walk, just in case they have treats! I also got a yummy Pup Cup! On the way back to the shelter I got very excited and somehow got all tangled up, but my new friend helped me get unstuck and I did not mind at all when she had to fix my collar and harness in the car. Going back to the shelter is hard for me, I get anxious and very bouncy right away.Three Words to Describe Me are: Affectionate - Attentive - ExcitedNotes from My Walker: Maisey continues to do well on her outings and did a nice 4 mile hike today. She needs a few minutes to calm down when she first comes out of the kennel, and going back to the shelter is a bit of challenge, she gets excitable and jumpy the moment we return, but can be managed. Away from the shelter, Maisey is a lovely, happy girl! She walks beautifully on leash and demonstrates no reactivity to bikes or people. Today we did not encounter dogs. With her new DDO volunteer Maisey was immediately happy and excited to greet. She responds well to âsitâ and is very treat motivated. She checks in regularly when walking and gives the sweetest kisses and nuzzles to solicit affection.08/31/23 15:30SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:Today I: Took a long walk in a park and in a big neighborhood. I also got to sit and watch people and dogs for awhile while I relaxed after my big hike!Three Words to Describe Me are: Cuddly - Attentive - ExcitedNotes from My Walker: Maisey improves each week on her DDO outings. This week it was just she and I and we had a very long, quiet walk. We encountered quite a few people and dogs, even a pair of running Huskies, and she was non-reactive to everything. She is quite excited when she gets out of the shelter, but once we start walking, she sniffs and calms right down. She is a delight to spend time with!08/24/23 09:20SVPP Dog Day Out Notes:Today I: Took a hike on a big trail. We saw so many things! There were people on bikes, a few dogs, and lots of wild things! We say wild boars, a bobcat, and a tiny bunny who decided to hang out on the trail immediately in front of us. Maisey was definitely interested in the bunny, but we were very careful to avoid the other wildlife and she was a champ at following our lead when we made some unplanned u-turns! She is rambunctious at first, but once she has a few moments to relax on the trail, she is quite attentive, checking in regularly and walking with a loose leash and easy gait.07/05/23 07:58Maisey was together in courtyard with Chris A1301114 fought over food.
