About this Dog
This is Francis, she’s a Beagle born 12/7/23. Francis has come so far! From not letting us touch her at all the first two weeks to not wanting to let us out of her sight, she is definitely thriving. She loves all cats and wants to play and wrestle with them. Thankfully our cat is quite tolerant of her and likes to play back. She will stop if he yowls to let her know she's getting too rough. She's been around other dogs outside and will be curious for a bit and then ignore them and go about her business. Her favorite person is my boyfriend's 8 year old boy. She adores him! She will stand at the bedroom door when he is sleeping in, chase him all over and doesn't mind in the least when he picks her up in awkward positions and hauls her around. He is actually the reason why she finally warmed up to us. He came to visit for a weekend and that was it, no more shyness with us! Her favorite treat is popcorn - good luck keeping it to yourself and not sharing with her. We like to just throw a handful on the floor so she has to run around eating it... it takes her a little longer to get back to us to beg for more! We're still working on potty training... though I truly believe the issues are more due to our living arrangement (apartment). If Francis were in a house where she could be kenneled during the day if her people aren't at home she does just fine - with the exception of barking the entire time she is in there when her people are gone. I can't say I blame her - she spent the first four months of her life in a kennel and has learned that life is much better when she can lounge on the couch and play with her cat friend. Francis has gotten to experience fenced in yards and trips up north to the cabin. She has been off leash outside at the cabin and doesn't go too much farther than the boundaries of the yard. I wouldn't suggest trying that though until she is very attached to you! She loves belly rubs and snuggling on the couch. She is still uncertain of new people and is not quick to warm up to others. Mostly that just means that when we have people over, she will go lay down in a corner and watch them. She is more wary of teenage/young girls. She hasn't done anything (besides barking at them and rumbling a little) but she doesn't want anything to do with them. We suspect that it was a young girl in charge of her in her previous situation and that they perhaps weren't very nice to her. We’ve been calling her Daisy and she responds to it. She will be wary of you when you first get her, but with patience, she will warm up and be the best, snuggliest dog you could ask for! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $750.00

Adopt Francis and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Francis's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Francis's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Francis, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Francis's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Francis was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Francis’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Francis’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Francis’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
