About this Cat
Wally showed up in early November of 2023, when we caught a glimpse of him dashing out of our garage with a bag of cat treats in his mouth. The treats were intended for a semi-feral tomcat we had been trying to domesticate. He showed up again the next day, looking for more food, and it was apparent that he was malnourished and could hardly open his eyes. We managed to get him in a crate and took him to Kitty Angel where he received food and fluids and his condition was assessed. During the exam it was discovered that he had an intestinal infection and his eyes were entropion, meaning the bottom eyelids were flipped over, causing severe irritation. After a month of treatment, the intestinal infection cleared up and the vet determined that they could move forward with correcting his entropic condition. Two surgeries later, his sparkly green eyes were finally visible and he was free from the irritation that must have plagued him his entire life. His demeanor and disposition improved dramatically after the surgery, and he became much more affectionate and playful. He still has his moments and may nip a little if startled and doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but he’s a curious and friendly companion, who likes to nap on my husband’s lap and give affectionate headbutts. We’re not sure of his age, but the vets who treated him estimated him to be around 5yrs old so maybe born spring of 2019. He's fairly docile around our 4 female cats, but we’re currently keeping them separated because the females don’t interact well with strange cats. Wally weighs approx. 8lbs with a long, lean build and very long, bushy tale. He’s quite the handsome fellow! Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and negative for fiv/felv. Adoption fee $60. Adopt Wally and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wally's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Wally's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Wally, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Wally's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wally was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wally’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Wally’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wally’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
