About this Dog
Cedar is a pretty little rat terrier weighing close to 15 lbs. At 8 years old, Cedar enjoys being mellow most of the time, napping in the sun, occasional walks, and exploring her fenced-in backyard. Cedar comes from a breeding situation, where she had limited positive interactions with humans, so she's shy and skittish. If you take things slowly and give her time to warm up (along with lots of treats), she'll be your new best friend and ready for belly rubs. Since she startles, she prefers walking in quiet areas where she won't encounter a lot of strangers or dogs. Also, a securely fenced yard is a must and having a dog door is even better. She rides well in the car but prefers a tether to being in a crate. She does just fine left alone and loose a couple hours at a time.Cedar has gotten along well with the other five dogs in her foster home, following their lead to learn the routine and lay of the land, and relying on them for comfort. She doesn't often play with her foster siblings but does readily snuggle up to dogs and humans alike. Cedar would probably do best living with at least one other considerate, gentle dog. Cedar has a wonderful personality and has been a joy to her foster family. She's also as cute as a button! See more photos of this sweet girl at https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/cedar .
