About this Dog
This is Buster. He is 100% goodest boy! Buster is house trained, crate trained, and has excellent table manners. Buster’s idea of the perfect day is really all about quality time. Snuggles? Yes, please! Walks? Oh, yes! A shared snack? Divine! (Did I mention his table manners?!) Scritchies? Can’t get enough! Staring deeply into one another’s eyes? Absolutely! Buster has the cutest ears! And the sweetest eyes! He also grows an epic mustache if left untrimmed. His absolute favorite thing is being outside. He would stay outside all day if he could! He loves to lounge on the grass in the sun. He has a love-hate relationship with training. He loves to please, but also acts like it was really his idea all along…! Occasionally he gets a wild hair and grabs a squeaky toy from the basket, typically just carrying it around. Sometimes he will indulge his foster in a few rounds of fetch with said toy, but it’s clear he does it out of pity for his poor foster, not because he actually enjoys it…! Like most JRTs, Buster is very smart and very opinionated. (He can grumble with the best of them! It’s honestly pretty endearing.) Buster is used to being someone’s constant companion and that is really where he thrives. At night he sleeps at the foot of his foster’s bed, under his designated fleece blanket. He follows his foster from room to room, never being more than a few feet away. (He is an excellent bathroom sentinel!) He is happiest as an only dog. He can coexist with other dogs, he gets along fine with his foster’s resident dogs, but he has a strong preference for human companions over canine companions. (Frankly, he seems to think he is a human!) He does prefer men to women, though that doesn’t seem to matter so much when there are things like walks and snacks to be had. Buster has not been tested with cats, but will tolerate dogs. Proper introductions are important, as he can be territorial, especially with male dogs. He can also be spicy when he is feeling anxious, scared, or otherwise overestimulated. He has been around young children and done well for short periods, but a home with children would not be a good fit for him. Buster is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, and in overall good health Would you be his pawfect match?
