About this Dog
Want to meet me? Come to Broken Clock Brewing & Celebrate "Clocktober Fest" (1712 Marshall St NE Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55413) for an Adoption Event on Saturday September 21st, 2:00-4:00 pm. Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Hello! I'm Emerald, a sweet and timid Maltipoo weighing in at 8 pounds. I'm 5 years old and ready to find a loving forever home where I can continue to grow and thrive. At home, I'm an absolute delight. My adorable looks and sweet disposition make it easy to fall in love with me. I'm still adjusting to my new surroundings, so I'm a bit timid, but my loving nature shines through. I’m trying really hard to be a brave girl and let my people pet me, with some patience I know I will gain the courage to sit near you. While I'm not quite fully potty trained yet, I'm really close when kept on a good schedule. I'm also crate trained, although I do bark when I'm in my crate. However, I've never had an accident in there. I'm working on my leash training and occasionally go for walks, but I still need more practice. Sometimes, I freeze when I'm on a leash, but with patience and gentle encouragement, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. While I don’t require a fence, having one would help me use some energy and get on a potty routine. I get along well with smaller dogs and would benefit from having another dog in the house to learn from. Having another dog will help me get on a routine and learn to trust people. I do bark when left alone, so having a furry friend around might help me feel more secure. It would be best if I don't have shared walls in my forever home. One thing to know about me is that I'm still quite timid. I really want to be loved and snuggled, but sometimes I struggle to get close enough for pets. This is getting better every day, though! I even sleep with my foster family and let them pet me while we're in bed. Getting down to my level helps too, as I wag my tail like crazy when someone does that. If you're looking for a sweet companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, I'm your girl. I can't wait to find a forever home where I can feel safe and loved every day. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Emerald and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Emerald's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Emerald's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Emerald, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Emerald's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emerald was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emerald’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Emerald’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Emerald’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
