About this Dog
Artemis is 1yo, weighs 95lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. Artemis's guardian adds: "She walks great on a leash. She is very well trained to 'come', 'sit', 'lay', 'down', 'off, 'eat', 'up', and 'gentle', etc. She is also shocker trained. She can NOT live with other pets. Or be around other pets. Ever. Not even to a dog park or on a small trail where she will encounter another dog. She has never been a chewer, she isn't a digger, her ONLY negative is that she can't be around other dogs. She is a sweet dog and very well behaved about literally everything else. She loves to play hide and seek, we are very elaborate about this in our house. We hide objects as well as people....lol...fun games!! Whoever gets her, we will also give all her things (crate, leash, toys, food, food bin, etc.)." Artemis's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "She is aggressive towards other dogs. We have other dogs in our home. She has attacked each of them. We have paid for great training with her but nothing can be done." Lunge/attack/bite incidents: Prior to 22 February 2024, Artemis bit her canine siblings on several occasions; the incident(s) broke the skin; animal control was not involved; unexplained medical attention was administered. Artemis's guardian explains: "She has attacked/bitten our other dogs. They needed medical attention. She has never attacked or bitten a human." Artemis's guardian states the following regarding children: Artemis lives with children (ages 13, 15, 17, & 19) so her guardian recommends her living with older children, stating "She is hesitant about small children but has never been aggressive at all to a human." Aretemis's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Artemis lives with dogs, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, because she's lunged/attacked/bitten her canine siblings on several occasions. Artemis's guardian states the following regarding cats: Artemis doesn't live with nor has otherwise been around cats, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats. Artemis's guardian describes her as: Very active Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Protective Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Artemis's guardian describes her ideal future home: " Our household is usually pretty active. We have: Myself, my husband, our four children (and two other kids who come home regularly) as well as my parents. We take her on at least one long walk a day and sometimes two. We also throw the ball for her... she loves that. All this makes you think she needs to be active, but really she is just as good at laying on the floor right in my office door taking a nap while I sit here and work. One of my daughters does online schooling so she is here with her most days and when she isn't, my parents are or I am. She sleeps in a crate and if we go out for an hour here or a couple hours there, she is fine home alone." Rehoming Fee: None Location: LaPlata, MD
