About this Dog
08/23/24 06:46DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: went for a drive and a loooong walk. I was excited to get going but waited patiently as my friend put my harness and leash on. I love adventures and am excited to get in the car and get going. Once we got to the park I saw/smelled so many lizards and squirrels and I wanted to catch them all! I love investigating holes and trees hoping a critter might be lurking nearby. We saw other people and dogs and bikes, but I donât really care, I just wanted to keep walking and sniffing. I showed off my sit and shake for some yummy treats and finally, we went to Starbucks, and I got a pupcup â delicious! Three Words to Describe Me are: Playful, Sweet, Enthusiastic Notes from My Walker: Bumblebee is such a friendly and enthusiastic girl. Though she was excited to get going she was still patient as she got harnessed/leashed up and later when I decided to switch to a smaller harness at the start of our walk. She has no problems getting in the car and practically threw herself in, she is good in the car sitting in the middle or laying down. She does pull a bit on the lead, especially if she sees a critter, but she is a smaller girl so it is not too hard to manage. She is obsessed with squirrels and lizards and loves checking out holes, bushes, tall grass, and trees in hopes of finding one. Due to her high prey drive I would recommend she not go to a home with a cat, but she is friendly and non-reactive with other dogs. She loves chasing tennis/soccer balls (though make sure you have a few as she prefers to hoard them rather than bring them back haha). She is a treat motivated and smart girl who already knows sit and shake, I think could easily learn more commands. Overall she is a wonderful dog who would make a great adventure buddy. 06/21/24 04:50DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: Today I met a new friend who took me to the park to hike. I wasn't nervous at all meeting him and let him harness me up with no problem and jump in the car and was ready to go. We went to Jeffrey Fontana Park where we hiked 5 miles! I had so much fun exploring, I even tried making friends with all the squirrels even though they didn't really want to play. We hiked up the hills, through the park, and even walked through some neighborhoods so I could check out all the smells. My friend had really tasty treats and throughout our walk I was able to snack while exploring. I did pull a little on the leash for the beginning part of the walk, but I was excited to get out, but after that my friend and I found a good walking pace together. After the hike I got a pup cup and it was delicious!! I can't wait to go back out and explore. Three Words to Describe Me are: Energetic, Playful, CuriousNotes from My Walker: Bumblebee and I had a great day together. It was quite clear I was the slow one in the group as she was ready to go on an adventure. She is not reactive to other dogs or cars as we passed by a lot of friends on our hike and while walking next to the road, the focus was on the path. Bumblebee does have a high drive to seek out squirrels and rodents, checking every tree and hole. I was able to redirect her most of the time and she was able to break focus and continue on the adventure. She was fantastic in the car and wanted to navigate while leaning her head on my shoulder. She knows how to sit and give a paw, but when giving treats you have to remind her to be gentle or give a treat with a flat hand as she is quick to take it. Bumblebee has energy to spare and was not interested in taking breaks but appreciated the water when we sat down in the shade. There she was able to roll around and be playful before she got up and got back out on the adventure. Busy little Bumblebee is a German Shepherd Dog.A typical playful pup, this silly girl is a lot of fun and has lots of energy! Fortunately, she loves chasing soccer balls, so working off that energy is fun and easy. She especially loves to carry half-deflated soccer balls around a field. (We donât have the heart to tell her sheâs supposed to use her feet.)Bumblebee is a smart pup with great focus. She already has learned how to walk nicely on leash. With some positive reinforcement, we bet you could train her to be your goalie!
