About this Dog
Hi there, future family! My name is Niko, and I'm an 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a whole lot of love and energy to share. I weigh about 65 pounds, and I'm as cute as can be! Let me tell you a bit about myself and why I might just be the perfect addition to your home. I'm a well-mannered boy who's housetrained—I even go to the door to let you know when it's time for a potty break. I'm great in my crate, which makes things a lot easier for you when you need some downtime. Exercise is super important to me. I love running around in the house or yard with my doggy pals and going on walks. I'm quite the active guy, and playtime is my favorite time! I get along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats. I think cats are fascinating, though sometimes they give me a little smack when I get too curious, and then I just walk away. I'm also a people-lover, but due to my energy and playful nature, I’d do best in a home with kids over 12. Some of my favorite things include toys, fetch, tug of war, bones, car rides, and cuddles. I'm a smart cookie too—I already know "sit" and "paw." My foster mom says I'm friendly, outgoing, confident, happy, playful, and loyal. I’m looking for a home with a fenced yard because I love running and playing outside, and I prefer not to do my business on a leash or tie-out. My ideal home would have a doggy playmate. I adore my new canine foster brother, who is a 30-pound puppy. I play gently with him, whether it's tug of war or chasing him around the yard. I’m also super affectionate. I love greeting my foster family with licks and cuddles, and I no longer jump on people or furniture. I do need plenty of exercise and stimulation, or I might chew on things I shouldn't. But with the right amount of play and love, I promise to be your sweetest and most loyal companion. Are you ready to be my forever family? With love and licks, Niko His minimum adoption fee is $95 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Adopt Niko and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Niko's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Niko's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Niko, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Niko's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Niko was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Niko’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Niko’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Niko’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
