About this Dog
Brooklyn is a beautiful 9 month old Husky/Shepherd Mix who is smaller in size at around 45 pounds. She and her siblings were posted on facebook as needing rescue after being abandoned by their mom when they were just a few days old. This turned out to be a lie, but they weren’t in a good situation and needed rescue. One of our nursing mom fosters, who had lost several of her own puppies, took them in as her own until they were weaned. Brooklyn is an intelligent, athletic, and affectionate girl but it takes her a little while to trust new people. Once she does, she is attached for life and very loyal and will let you do practically anything to her. She is food motivated which will make training easy once a bond is formed and she loves her crate – in fact, she will put herself in it when she sees it’s getting time for her foster mom to leave for work. Brooklyn is housetrained via a dog door, but we’re pretty sure she’s fully housetrained. She currently lives with 8 other dogs of various ages and size (8lbs-80lbs) and is good with them but does require a brief introduction period – she can be a little bossy for the first 5-10 minutes. Brooklyn is great in the car and loves to go on walks – she could use a little work on the leash but mainly because she wants to chase everything that moves – but again, she is trainable with the right motivation. She seems to have a drive to please and learn new things as she is very attentive everything around her and really looks for guidance from her “person”/foster mom. At night, Brooklyn curls up close and sleeps soundly until you are ready to get up. We believe Brooklyn will do best in a home with another dog she can learn from and play with at her level, a person/family who is willing to take the time to earn her trust and help build her confidence, older or no kids and no cats because she does have some herding breed tendencies. If you are interested in meeting or knowing more about Brooklyn, please submit an application and her foster mom will be happy to reach out to you. Adopt Brooklyn and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Brooklyn's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Brooklyn's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Brooklyn, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Brooklyn's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Brooklyn was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Brooklyn’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Brooklyn’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Brooklyn’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
