About this Cat
Meet Leara, a pretty two-year-old brown and white tabby female cat with a sweet disposition. Initially reserved and a bit fearful, Leara's gentle and affectionate nature shines through once she warms up to you. She will need a patient family to help her acclimate to her new home. This lovely feline has a charming brown and white coat that adds to her overall appeal. Having been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and kept up-to-date on vaccines, she is in the best health for her new family. She may appear to hide at the shelter, but if you give her a bit of time you will what an outstanding companion she is, she's an absolute love, gentle , to know her is to adore her.Her previous foster noted, "Leara has been becoming more vocal, meowing for attention more often, and she loves head-butting and pressing her body against you. She's gradually starting to explore more, particularly the kitchen area. Affectionate, shy, and utterly adorable, Leara thoroughly enjoys pets and craves attention. While not very interested in toys, she relishes in kneading and loves watching her humans from afar, especially when it's time for food. Her favorite spots for pets are around her ears, chest, and under her chin. She tends to be cautious around strangers, preferring to observe from a distance rather than engage directly. She's absolutely charming when she rubs and bumps her head on you, purring contentedly. If you stop petting her, she may gently nibble at your hand until you resume. She adores treats along with her kibbles and wet food. Leara is also sensitive to loud noises, so she thrives best in a calm environment."To meet Leara in person visit the Best Friends New York Soho Lifesaving Center at 307 West Broadway, New York, NY, near Canal Street. Our center is open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week. Don't miss the opportunity to welcome Leara into your life! Adopt Leara and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Leara's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Leara's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Leara, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Leara's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leara was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leara’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Leara’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leara’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
