About this Dog
*Name: Ruger*Age: 5-6 years old*Current Weight: 68 lbs*Rescued from: Texas*Adoption fee: $400*Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped*Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, Meet Ruger! Ruger is a handsome 5-6 year old lab mix. Ruger was rescued from a rural shelter in Texas at the 11th hour. This sweet boy didn't even have a name, he was just a forgotten soul. He was so confused when he was rescued but he quickly turned into the sweetest boy and so happy once he knew he was rescued and safe.We brought Ruger to NY where he was adopted out to who we thought would be his forever family. Unfortunately, after being a good boy for two years in a home with his family, Ruger's adoptive parents had a baby and they could no longer care for Ruger, so he was returned. Poor Ruger was so confused and scared when he got to our shelter in NY it broke our hearts. Fortunately we were able to place him with an experienced foster and he's been living with them ever since.Ruger really is a good boy. He has all the great qualities of a lab, he loves water, chasing a ball, and taking long walks around the neighborhood or park. He is always up for an adventure, but equally loves chilling out with his humans. Ruger would be happiest as an only dog and in a home without cats as he likes to “retrieve” them. All he needs are his people, some snuggles, yummy food, and a cozy bed to call his own. Ruger is already house trained.Ruger likes to leans into you for pets and belly rubs, or to just lay his head on your lap an looks at you with those beautiful eyes, which you will without a doubt fall in love with. This boy deserves to have a family that will love him forever, could that be you?? Adopt Ruger and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ruger's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Ruger's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Ruger, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ruger's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruger was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruger’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Ruger’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ruger’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
