About this Dog
Michelle is a 2 year old female Lab mix who weighs in at approximately 45 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below. If you are EXTREMELY patient, you may find that Michelle is the perfect dog for you! Michelle came to ARF at a year and a half of age. We do not know her history, but we suspect it was a very sad one! Her first two weeks with her foster family, she never left her bed, that they could see. Of course, she pooed and peed there, and would cower afterwards, obviously fearful that she would be severely punished. It took 3 months for her to leave the room with her bed, to finally join the family. She warmed up first to the oldest son, who worked hard to make her comfortable, then Mom, then Dad, then the younger son. Now she enjoys the whole house and is fully housetrained (including letting her foster know when she needs to go out). And, now she mostly wants to be wherever the family is. Michelle had to be taught to walk on a leash, but is now able to handle that well. She was frightened of every movement and noise at the park, but has greatly improved. She loves to run free in large outdoor areas, but comes back immediately to the family when called. She is frightened of other dogs, is scared of new or unusual noises, and is scared of new people too. If you want to get to know Michelle, you will need to be willing to have quite a few meetings with her in her own yard, so that she can gradually become comfortable with you. If she does get comfortable, you will find a sweet, gentle, low-key pup. She is calm and good with kids once she gets to know them. She is truly a sweetheart once she gets to know you! She is a gentle darling who enjoys walks in the park and cuddling with her humans. The attached videos will show you how fun and sweet she can be, running around, tossing her own ball up in the air to run after it again, and just wiggling around in the grass. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

Adopt Michelle and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Michelle's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Michelle's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Michelle, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Michelle's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Michelle was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Michelle’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Michelle’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Michelle’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
