About this Dog
Alan came to the shelter on 1/22/2024 from the city pound after his legal hold time was finished. We're guessing on his breed mix, but are thinking German or Dutch shepherd, pit bull, and maybe even mastiff. He is a big, strong, and friendly guy with a gorgeous brindle coat. He is about 4 to 5 years old and has been fully vetted and microchipped. His fee is $150. Alan does appear to be housetrained and does know some basic commands. He will require a bit of work on leash walking. He's very in tune to people and kind of a sensitive soul (don't tell him we said anything). He's also an absolute sweetie who wants to be around people all the time. We do think he has the potential to do well with other dogs. He might be a bit too large and strong for really young kids. Cats? We just don't know. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Alan and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Alan's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Alan's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Alan, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Alan's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Alan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Alan’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Alan’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Alan’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
