About this Cat
Peyton is a 15 year old sweetheart who hopes to find a special person with whom to share the rest of his life, hopefully with his buddy, Quinn, too. Sadly, Peyton and Quinn were left behind when their owner died, and no relatives were willing to take them in. The futures of these extremely sweet boys were at grave risk until they found their way to Cat Shack. Peyton spent some time at the vet hospital and received updated vaccines and badly needed dental care. He tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. Adjustment to the new foster home took a little time but Peyton is now happily settled in. He has no problem living with other cats but doesn’t interact with anyone other than his buddy, Quinn. Peyton’s favorite spot is a soft pillow covered with a polar fleece blanket. When he is ready for a good nap, he burrows underneath that cover and snoozes happily for hours at a time. When he is up and around, Peyton gravitates towards high places. He particularly enjoys trotting upstairs and walking out onto one of the exposed beams, where he sits and watches whatever is going on both upstairs and in the room below. Peyton can easily be picked up and held and enjoys human attention. He is more reserved than his buddy, Quinn, but still extremely friendly and sweet. Peyton’s coloring is highly unusual. At first glance, he is a typical black cat with a small white spot on his chest. However, his fur is pure white at the base and then changes to black, so that when he moves around, some of that white becomes visible through the black, giving Peyton a very unique look. Peyton is extremely thin and should ideally gain several pounds. He is slowly learning to eat a wider variety of wet food and now eats some dry food as well. He will greatly benefit from TLC in his new home to help him eat good food and put on weight. There is something about Peyton that can quickly grab hold of your heart. Please consider adopting him and, if possible, his buddy, Quinn, as well. These boys need and deserve loving care for the rest of their lives and have much love to give in return.

Adopt Peyton and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Peyton's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Peyton's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Peyton, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Peyton's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Peyton was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Peyton’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Peyton’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Peyton’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
