About this Dog
Winston is a handsome, 2 yr old Havanese, mixed possibly with ShihTzu, who weighs 17 lbs. He has a very big, lovable personality. Winston is smart and pays attention to everything going on in the household. He is outgoing and friendly. Winston is playful, active and athletic and is doing very well on housetraining and leash walking. Although Winston is active, he is snuggly and likes being held like a baby. He needs a home where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. His new family should enjoy and take daily walks and provide engaging stimulation. Winston would do best being an only dog. He doesn't seem to be able to read other dogs' cues. Winston wants to be wherever his foster family is and tends to park himself underfoot, so he can be a trip hazard. Winston arrived at a rural shelter as a stray so matted that we chose to sedate him to groom him for his comfort. His coat has now grown back beautifully and is low maintenance and low shed. Winston was very cooperative during his last grooming. The adoption range for this dog is limited to NC, SC, VA and East TN. If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact [email protected]. There is an application process and adoption fee. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD. The secure fence must be 4ft or higher, with gaps no greater than 2 inches, and attached to the home - meaning you have an inside door that opens into the fenced yard. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 36 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, NC to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines, and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500

Adopt Winston and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Winston's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Winston's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Winston, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Winston's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Winston was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Winston’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Winston’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Winston’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
