My name is Markie, and I am a Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. I’m estimated to be about 2 years old, I am now looking for my forever home, and sure hope I can find it quick. My foster home has been great, but I’m ready to settle in and unpack my bags now. When I first arrived to foster care, there were a lot changes to my life. They were all good changes, but they were definitely still scary. When I first met my foster mom, I didn’t want anything to do with her. She’s lovely, but I wasn’t sure that I could trust her. Thankfully she waited for me to get comfortable and now we are best friends! I show my gratitude by giving her the best cuddles and acting as a lap blanket. Giving me space until I feel at home is the way to my heart! I promise I’ll come around, just need a little time to warm up. I also love to go on walks! I would thrive with a very active human who wants to go on walks or, even better, run! True to my breeds, I am an energetic girl. I’ll even give you a little dance from excitement as we get ready to go! The world can still be scary, so I can sometimes accidentally pee a little when I get nervous (or sometimes excited). I promise I know how to ask to go outside and always do my best to make it! My ideal home would be a single person or couple with no children in quiet neighborhood. I get startled easily by loud noises, and I would feel much better in a quiet setting. However, I promise to protect your house by barking should something startle me. I’ll make sure no one gets close without letting you know! I am ready to find my forever humans, and I promise to give you all the cuddles you could ever need or want. If you think we could be a match, please apply for me today! Markie has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. Markie’s adoption fee will $650.00. You can find my Adoption application at this link. https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption If you wish to learn more about Animalert, please visit our website at https://www.animalert.ca/ Due to the volume of emails, phone calls and messages Animalert receives, it is not always possible to respond to every application. We do review every application. We will only be contacting applications that we feel are a match for the pet they are applying for. Thank you for your understanding. * Please note - we may take 24-48 hours to respond, adoption will be to approved homes only, we reserve the right to deny adoption to anyone without providing a reason. Animalert does not adopt outside of Canada. *

Adopt Markie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Markie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Markie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Markie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Markie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Markie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Markie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Markie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Markie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
