About this Dog
Meet Tyson! Tyson was surrendered to Downey Shelter by his owner, who said he couldn't afford to have a dog any longer. Tyson quickly became a volunteer favorite for being very sweet, gentle, and great with other dogs. Despite his wonderful qualities, after a month of being at the crowded shelter, Tyson was scheduled to be euthanized. Fortunately, we were able to rescue Tyson just in time, and he became a Frosted Face on November 6th. He is 10 years old and weighs 80 lbs. Tyson went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we were so happy he got to spend time in a home while he waits to be adopted. We received a great report from his Fling Mom: "Tyson was clearly a dearly beloved pet in his former life. He just wants to be with his people and to please his people. The first time we invited him on the couch, he seemed amazed. He slowly inched his way up, expecting us to chase him off. Once he realized we really did allow him on the couch he went all-in. He loved curling up next to one of us, getting pets and scratches and napping the days away. Tyson will follow you around the house and take a nap wherever you are hanging out. He slept on a dog bed next to our bed at night and caused no issues at all, sleeping 8-10 hrs. He shows no signs of separation anxiety and always greeted us with a happy wagging tail on our return. Tyson did great with our two other large dogs at home and met lots of dogs both large and small at the dog park. He got along with everyone. This big guy is really a great dog! Take him home and enjoy the love and affection of a handsome, confident, well-mannered gentleman!" Tyson is on a second Fling for the holidays! Hopefully, his dream of a forever home will come true, and he will be adopted in time for Christmas. Adopt Tyson and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tyson's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Tyson's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tyson, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tyson's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tyson was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tyson’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Tyson’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tyson’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
