About this Dog
Meet Yogi! Yogi entered Baldwin Park Shelter as a stray, and when he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on October 27th to become a Frosted Face. He is around 12 years old and weighs 18 lbs. Yogi went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and being in a home environment helped him decompress after his stressful experiences as a stray and in the shelter. We received a great report from his Fling Mom: "Yogi is a cute little dude! He is learning to relax. He’s finding his comfy spots throughout the home. Sometimes it’s his bed and sometimes it’s the middle of our floor! He is still a perfect pack pup. He does well with our dogs and our cat and enjoys playing. Yogi gets excited whenever we get up and has a little pep in his step when following us around. He loves to be greeted by our dogs and wags his tail when approached. He also enjoys his walks with the pack and likes to stop frequently to explore the neighborhood smells. My husband affectionately calls him Gordon RAMsay because when you’re walking he gets excited and runs up to you and intentionally runs into (rams) the back of your legs playfully. At about midday, he tends to get the zoomies and likes to run around a little. He does the cutest hops when he gets excited and flails his arms. The playful hop combo with the bouncing of his ears reminds me of a bunny! Yogi can still be a little spicy about being picked up. We practiced using a treat, gave it to him, and then quickly picked him up onto the couch. Everything was too quick for him to get upset and he had a mouthful of treat, so no naughty behaviors that time. He will need someone who is patient and can work with that behavior. It’ll take time, but I think he would come around as his trust grows. Yogi deserves a special family who can appreciate the quirks - spiciness included. He is a really chill guy who just wants to spend time near you. Doesn’t jump on furniture either, if that’s not your jam. He enjoys pets and kisses from his people. And he will reciprocate his love for you with the gentlest of kisses. He has gotten really great about sleeping through the whole night. Doesn’t wake up at all anymore. Please someone scoop this sweet guy up soon!" Yogi is back onsite and ready for his forever home! Come meet him this Saturday and Sunday during Open House 10 AM - 1 PM! Adopt Yogi and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Yogi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Yogi's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Yogi, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Yogi's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Yogi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Yogi’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Yogi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Yogi’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
