About this Dog
Meet Nacho! Nacho came to us from the Humane Society of Imperial County on October 24th. He is 9 years old and weighs 59 lbs. Nacho is very sweet, likes playing with toys, and does well with his Frosted friends in our play yard. Nacho went on a two-week Frosted Fling and is such a special boy, his Fling Family has decided to foster him until he has a forever home. They report: "Over the past month, Nacho has fit in so well that we decided to foster him until he finds his forever family. Things he wants his future family to know: - He's potty trained, crate trained and sleeps through the night. Walks nicely on a loose leash, listens to "no" or "uh uh", and rarely barks at all. He's basically perfect! - He's a foodie with perfect manners! While there's nothing he loves more than food (dog food, treats and people food alike), he sits politely waiting for you to feed him. No jumping or barking or counter surfing here. And he's not picky. We've been feeding him dry dog food with no complaints. and he didn't seem to mind when we switched brands either. For snacks, he particularly likes raw carrots or strawberries but has also enjoyed scrambled eggs, turkey, rice, bananas, blueberries, green beans, pumpkin and cream cheese. - He's a strong chewer! Has gotten the ears or legs off most stuffy toys in our house in seconds flat. And those "long lasting" chews that are meant to keep dogs busy for a while somehow disappear in mere minutes with this guy. When we first got him, he didn't know what to do with a Kong, but he's since come around and we alternate that into his routine. - He could be an only furbaby but could easily get along with a dog sibling as well. He hasn't tried to snuggle with our dog (to be fair, she's not the snuggling type) but they do play well together, and he doesn;t seem to have any resource guarding issues. - He would like his own couch please. He still wont jump up on the couch unless we're NOT in the room. If we lift him up to join us, he'll make himself comfortable as long as you continue to pet him. We tend to lift him up because he does come over seeking pets, but then flops down just out of reach on the floor. - He rides great in the car but isn't keen on getting OUT of the car. We haven;t figured this one out yet. He can easily jump in (even into the backseat of our SUV, but has to be bribed with treats or lifted out of the car. The only thing we haven't tried is a ramp or stairs. This sweet guy is so easy going and politely seek pets from everyone he meets. He's met kids as young as 2 and does great. Just plops down and bows his head for pets. Just a warning, as long as someone's petting him, he's not going anywhere! When his forever family finds him, they are getting the BEST boy!" Adopt Nacho and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nacho's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Nacho's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Nacho, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nacho's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nacho was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nacho’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Nacho’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nacho’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
