About this Dog
We just never know what senior dogs go through before they come to us, although in Bear’s case we have a bit of an idea, because it has been evident in his skin condition. However, we also know he was given lots of love and attention at some point in his life because all he wants now is to please! This is the second time he has been with us, after a failed adoption of a few months, and we couldn’t be happier that he is with us. He has been treated for a skin infection due to allergies, and he has healed up beautifully thanks to better quality dog food. The vet has given us some good tips for keeping him looking good in his senior years, and he is thriving on the cure. he would like to be a lapdog, but he knows that’s not possible. Instead, he will come and rest his head on your lap if you’re sitting down, and if you weren’t quick enough to notice, he is there, a little nudge under your hand, will let you know, attention is needed! are you ready for this dog? We love Bear so much! He has fabulous social skills with other dogs, and totally ignores the cats. His foster mom is so excited about integrating him into the household, full of felines! Apply to adopt, but only if you are prepared to give your heart and soul to this boy. PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
