About this Dog
Story arrived as an owner surrender on 10/4/2023, when she was still under a year old. Before she came to us, she'd already been through several homes that didn't give her stability or everything she needed. We named her Story because she already had quite the story to her life for such a young dog. She is shy, but our volunteers have been working with her. She's a petite pit bull type mix, maybe with lab and other breeds. Her fee is $150 and she has been vet checked, spayed, and chipped. Story does need basic training. She hasn't had a lot of work on leash walking but is slowly getting the idea. She's looking for a somewhat calm home in which she won't be left alone for long hours. She needs someone who is ready, willing, and able to work with her on proper socialization and confidence. She is doing really well with other dogs and is gaining confidence. We're thrilled with her progress! Cats? We're not sure. Kids over 10 would be best. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.

Adopt Story and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Story's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Story's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Story, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Story's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Story was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Story’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Story’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Story’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
