About this Dog
Meet Sleepy! Sleepy was surrendered with Dopey (also available for adoption) by their owner to South LA Shelter and quickly became at risk due to how crowded the shelter was. We scooped them up on October 5th! Sleepy is 9 years old and weighs 64 lbs. He is very friendly and does great in a play group with Dopey and other dogs. Be sure to watch the cute video of Sleepy playing with his fellow Frosted Face Dingo! Sleepy loves going on our weekly Sunday hikes and rides nicely in the car. He has been an ambassador for FFF at several community events, most recently at a local Barnes & Noble! He loves interacting with people of all ages and is very gentle with children. Sleepy is a total love sponge, soaking up every ounce of attention, pets, and cuddles! He is calm and mellow at events, even with all the activity going on around him. Sleepy went on a two-week fling, we learned a lot about him. His Fling Mom reports: “Sleepy was excellent with our dogs. He integrated immediately, ate and slept near them, played (short bursts!) with them, and really looked to them for guidance the first few days. He has zero guarding - from humans or other dogs. He ate just a few feet away from our dogs, and when I had to touch or pick up his bowl he was okay with that. Sleepy was not a big morning guy - we wake up early (5AM) - he wou ld get up with us but instead of eating like the other dogs he would go back to bed and then be ready for breakfast around 7! He is definitely house trained. Sleepy’s arthritis keeps his walks to about two blocks. He met lots of humans on our short walks because we live in a busy area. He was friendly and sweet with all humans, children, and even a toddler. He greeted with hand sniffs and the most adorable low wagging tail. Sleepy was absolutely fine being left home alone both free roaming and in the crate. We gave him food dispensing toys (lickimat or a toppl - kongs were too hard) and he loved them and was sleeping by the time we got back each time. SLEEPY IS SUCH A GREAT DOG! I hope he gets a forever home soon." Adopt Sleepy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sleepy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sleepy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sleepy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sleepy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sleepy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sleepy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sleepy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sleepy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
