About this Dog
Meet Poker! 11-year-old Poker crossed the border from Mexico to join us at FFF on September 6th. A New Life Charitable Foundation had been working with his family to rehome many, many dogs that they could not care for well anymore. Most recently, he had been confined to a patio with a crate. Despite the hardships Poker has endured, he is the sweetest, cuddliest boy! Poker went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and he earned rave reviews from his Fling Family. He got along great with their dog, is house-trained, and went to their back door to let them know when he needed to go out, and walks nicely on leash. She reports: "Our fling went by so fast I kept checking the calendar to make sure it had really been 2 weeks. He's a total love bug! He gives sweet crooked kisses and is all about belly rubs. He's great to cuddle and hug too - like a big teddy bear. He's pretty low energy and loves napping. He gets adorable bursts of playful energy in the mornings and after long naps. He loves stuffed toys! He would bound around the house playing for about 10 minutes before getting tired. Poker was so sweet and gentle with our 30 lbs dog Gracie. We did a slow introduction with careful supervision and there were no issues between them. They played great together. He was careful not to play too rough with her. He was ok with our cat, too. Again we did slow supervised introductions. He ignored her for the most part, but did get more interested in her when he felt playful. We didn't ever leave them together unsupervised. He's made great progress at walking on a leash. He still stops sometimes and needs coaxing with treats to continue, but not as often as before. He gets tired after about 1/4 mile, so we did short walks several times a day. Poker is such a wonderful squishy house hippo. Don't miss out on this amazing guy!" Poker currently lives in a Foster home, but he is still on the lookout for his forever home! To adopt this lovable hunk, please fill out our placement questionnaire at: www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply Learn more about our programs at: www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/family No adoption fees, and we provide free lifetime medical care onsite at FFF Veterinary Hospital. Adopt Poker and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Poker's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Poker's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Poker, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Poker's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Poker was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Poker’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Poker’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Poker’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
