About this Cat
Meet Mackerel (aka Mack, Mackedude, Cat). This stunningly handsome guy is a little over a year old and was rescued after being dumped on the streets of Philly. How anyone could dump this curious, goofy, and extremely soft furball is still a mystery. In foster, Mackerel lives with two resident dogs. He was a bit hesitant around them for a few days but has learned to accept that they weren’t going anywhere and now will make attempts to play with them. He does great with the litter box (no accidents) and doesn’t scratch anything other than his scratch mats. He is still learning how to cat, so he can be a bit mouthy when he plays or wants his alone time. Because of that, a house with no young children is recommended. He has not been tested around other cats, but with proper introduction, he could make a good playmate. He may even be the “dog” you’ve always wanted – he enjoys chasing his tail, as well as playing with tennis balls, dog bones, and counter-surfing AND he requires no walking in the cold weather being an indoor only fella! Although not really a lap cat, Mackerel does like hanging around his people and being where the action is. Please email [email protected] for more information or complete the below application link. His adoption fee is $150 and he is neutered, current on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative and microchipped. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FHPA/Cat

Adopt Mackerel and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mackerel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Mackerel's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Mackerel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mackerel's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mackerel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mackerel’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."

We want the Mackerel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mackerel’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
