About this Dog
Do you want to meet me? I will be at Unleashed Hounds and Hops (200 East Lyndale Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55405), for an adoption event Thursday, September 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm . I will be there! Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Hello, I’m Nina, a precious and sweet albeit very shy female Chihuahua/Bichon Frise mix puppy. I'm a little cautious around people and don’t like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so I’m not sure if kids are a good fit for me! I admit that I follow my foster mom everywhere, not necessarily because I want her attention, but because I want to know what she’s up to. Unless, of course, she’s giving the other pups attention—then I must be part of the action! Hee hee! I love playing with toys and eating treats. I've even started taking treats from my foster mom’s hand. Yay for me! I’m still working on potty training and doing great if kept on a routine. I also don’t like the kennel or crate. In fact, I will holler a lot when I first go into the crate and randomly throughout the night, so just for the record, you have been warned! Hee hee! I will need a dog companion and a fenced yard in my new home so we can safely explore and play together. At home, I’m lovingly shy. I kiss my foster mom in the morning and get really excited when she asks, "Are you ready to eat?" I still have to be on two leashes when I go out in the yard, but I’m coming back into the house with less hesitation now. I love other dogs and do zoomies with them in the house. Chewing on bones, especially rubber ones, is one of my favorite pastimes. Plus, I'm a super smart girl who already knows what "sit," "stay," "down," "leave it," and "go potty" all mean. I even know how to "give a kiss"! I’m looking for a fur-ever home with someone who will love me unconditionally, never give up on me, and patiently allow me the time and space I need to become comfortable in my own way. I have a huge heart overflowing with love that I want to share. Please be my fur-ever family. I promise we will make amazing memories together! All my love, Nina Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Nina and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nina's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Nina's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Nina, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nina's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nina was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nina’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Nina’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nina’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
