About this Dog
Buzz is such a gorgeous boy who had a rough life prior to rescue from a shelter in Alabama. He was found as a stray as a young pup and clearly had been living on his own for quite some time. Fast forward and look at him living life now! He absolutely loves other dogs and plays great with the 11 other dogs in his foster home. He is a little slower to warm up to people, but once he does, he is the biggest lover and will be your friend furever! Buzz loves ear rubs and butt scratches—the way to his heart. His foster parents describe him as one of the smartest dogs they have ever had. He taught himself to open the deck door to let himself in the house. He will also scratch at the door to let his person know he needs to go out for potty time. Buzz is quick to catch on and has learned so much from watching his older foster brothers and sisters. Buzz will require a home with a fenced yard to run, play in and hang out with another dog or two. Buzz will need a person(s) with large breed experience who can continue his training, helping him to feel secure and show him unconditional love. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page.
